A community meeting will be held to discuss a pending zoning case for the Ashbrook subdivision.

At the February Planning Commission meeting on February 21, 2023, the Chesterfield County Planning Commission initiated Case 23SN0021, which is an Amendment of Zoning Approval to modify the conditions of Case 85SN0146 relative to parking requirements for residences in the Ashbrook Subdivision. Conditions currently require a minimum of two (2) off-street parking spaces, a minimum parking space size, and a specified surface treatment for private driveways. Specifically, all driveways on lots with less than seventy-five (75) feet of lot width are required to have concrete exposed aggregate or brick paver surface treatment. The Ashbrook Homeowners’ Association has requested that this condition be removed to allow the Association the ability to review and approve all surface treatments for driveways.

The community meeting will be held on May 1, 2023, at 6pm at the Ashbrook clubhouse to discuss the amendment and to answer any questions you may have regarding this request. Should you have any questions, please contact Summer Morris Hobson, the zoning case manager for this request at 804-751-4151 or HobsonSu@Chesterfield.gov. You may also contact the Matoaca District Planning Commissioner, Tommy Owens, at 804-869-2214 or OwensTommy@chesterfield.gov.
