UPCOMING 2023 BOARD ELECTION INFORMATION

There will be THREE positions on the Ashbrook Board of Directors that will be coming up for election at our Annual Meeting on Monday, June 5, 2023. Two of these positions will be for 3 year terms, and one will be for a one year term to fulfill the term of a Board Member who earlier resigned.
In the event that a quorum is not present at the June 5 meeting, the Annual Meeting will be postponed and held at 7:00 P.M. prior to the July Board meeting.

John Lawson has indicated that he will run for re-election to the Board. He has been on the Board since 2020, and currently serves as President. He and his wife Ashley have lived in Ashbrook for 9 years, and she currently serves as Chair of the Social/Recreation Committee.

Katie Wykle has also indicated that she will run for election to the Board for the ONE year term. Katie was appointed to the Board 12/13/22, to fill a vacated Board position to serve until this upcoming election, and wants to continue to serve on the Board. She lived in Ashbrook for her childhood, and she and her husband purchased their home in Ashbrook in 2019.

Any resident in-good-standing who would like to run for one of the three Board positions in this election please write a letter of intent, giving a short biography, reasons why you would like to be on the Board, and how you feel you can help the community. Either email it to Christopher Bertsch, our ACS West Community Manager, christopher@acswest.org, or mail it to Nominating Committee, Ashbrook Community Association, care of Chistopher Bertsch, ACS West Inc., Suite 100, 1904 Byrd Avenue, Richmond, VA 23230.

Please make sure that it is emailed or postmarked no later than March 31, 2023.

The Ashbrook Nominating Committee will review the letters-of-intent and recommend the slate of candidates to the Board at the April Board Meeting.

The ballots, along with copies of the letters of intent, will then be prepared and mailed out to all owners/residents for them to cast their votes and return the ballots prior to the Annual Meeting.

Board Members are expected to be at Board Meetings, serve on at least one committee, and assist in setting up and running Ashbrook functions.
Thanks,
Ashbrook Nominating Committee
